VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 1 is a Japanese Tournament organised by Riot Games and RAGE, which will take place online and the grand finals will be offline. The tournament starts on 3rd February and will conclude on 31st March 2024. The tournament boasts a prize pool of ¥5,000,000 JPY or $33,769 USD and 8 teams are participating in it. Let's examine the specifics of this competition.

VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 1 Format

The Regular Season will be held from 3rd February to 10th March. Eight teams will participate in it and Single Round-Robin will be applicable. All matches will be played in the best of three series and the top two teams will advance to Upper Bracket Finals. Also 3rd - 6th teams will advance to Lower Bracket Quarter Finals. 

The following guidelines for tie breakers will be implemented:

  • Head to Head result
  • Overall map difference
  • Overall round difference

The Playoffs will be held between 12th to 31st March, 2024 and total 6 teams will participate in a double elimination Bracket. Out of them, 2 teams will be from the Upper Bracket and 4 teams will be from the Lower Bracket. The Lower Final and Grand Final will be played Offline. All matches will be played in best of three series except Upper Bracket Final, Lower Bracket Final, and the Grand Final which will be played in the best of five series.

Prize Pool

The event boasts a total prize pool of ¥5,000,000 JPY or $33,769 USD, with the distribution as follows:

The team securing the first position will receive $13,507.40 or ¥2,000,000, whereas the team securing the second position will receive $8,442.12 or ¥1,250,000. Similarly the team securing the third position will receive $5,065.27 or ¥750,000 whereas the team securing the fourth position will receive $2,701.48 or ¥400,000. All the four teams will qualify to Split 2.

The teams securing the fifth and sixth position will receive $1,350.74 or ¥200,000 each ,whereas the teams securing the seventh and eighth position will receive $675.37 or ¥100,000 each. All the four teams will move to the advance stage.
