The Dojo’s Journey in Apex Legends

The journey of The Dojo began on 24th March, 2023, navigating the challenging terrain of the NA Challenger Circuit and accumulating enough circuit points to secure a spot in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). A resounding victory in the finals of the LCQ not only marked their first LAN event but also positioned The Dojo as dark horses capable of seizing the championship.

The team's distinctive playstyle, characterized by creative strategies and unpredictable maneuvers, dominated the ALGS Championship. Employing coordinated ambushes, strategic third-party engagements, and calculated rotations, The Dojo achieved the highest kill ratio at the Championship, with an impressive 61 percent of their total points derived from eliminating opponents rather than placement points.

Disguised Toast, the founder of Disguised, revealed in the announcement video the unexpected union with iiTzTimmy. Initially hesitant due to iiTzTimmy's content creator contract with 100 Thieves, an agreement akin to Mac "Albralelie" Beckwith's arrangement with TSM was reached. This allowed iiTzTimmy to join DSG, breaking the barriers imposed by content creator obligations.

Notably, DSG's venture into the ALGS continued with the signing of Dudes Night Out, the second-place team in the NA LCQ. Despite initial excitement, DSG fell short of expectations, facing elimination after a disappointing 33rd place finish. The subsequent departure of the roster left fans uncertain about the organization's future in Apex.

However, Respawn's announcement on 30th November 2023, unveiled Disguised as one of the 12 partnered teams for ALGS Year Four, affirming their commitment to the North American region. Each team received a financial stipend for the upcoming Pro League season, securing their foothold in the competitive landscape.

Addressing concerns about financial stability, Toast shared that iiTzTimmy willingly opted for an unpaid salary, ensuring the financial stipend covered his teammates' compensation, ultimately preserving profitability for the organization. This strategic move comes on the heels of Toast's discussions about substantial losses incurred in managing multiple teams across VALORANT.
