The journey began with the regional APAC Predator League 2024 qualifiers, where sixteen top Valorant teams from across thirteen regions battled fiercely for a slice of the impressive $100,000 prize pool. Team Secret's dominance was evident from the outset, cruising through the group stages by defeating No Salary Peek, Ender Dragon, and Todak, securing their spot in the playoffs without dropping a single game.
The playoffs witnessed intense matchups as FAV Gaming, Team Flash, BOOM Esports, and Team Secret entered the arena in a single-elimination format. FAV Gaming emerged as the first finalist by overcoming the formidable BOOM Esports. Meanwhile, Team Secret continued their relentless pursuit of victory, overpowering Team Flash with an impressive 13-4 scoreline in the semifinals.
Map 1: Breeze
The grand finals, a best-of-three showdown between FAV Gaming and Team Secret, unfolded with Team Secret taking the initiative on FAV Gaming's map pick of Breeze. Demonstrating impeccable teamwork and skill, Team Secret secured a decisive 13-7 victory on Breeze, setting the stage for the second game on their chosen map, Haven.
Map 2: Haven
Team Secret's determination was palpable as they dominated Haven, winning eight consecutive rounds at the start. With an overwhelming 13-3 scoreline, Team Secret triumphed over FAV Gaming, securing the coveted APL 2024 championship title and a well-deserved prize of $65,000. FAV Gaming, though valiant in their efforts, went home with a $20,000 cash prize.
