Popular Dota 2 streamer Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski recently talked about his potential team. Gorgc stated that he is currently negotiating with a team to become a streamer. However, he believed that, as a professional, he could try to fill in the shoes of Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov's in Gaimin Gladiators. Although Gorgc currently streams games, he used to be a professional player who was a member of Team Bald.
Gorgc's Team Choice Should He Go Into the Professional Sphere
In a recent livestream, a viewer asked Gorgc what pro team he would be joining. Responding to this, Gorgc replied that he is negotiating with few teams to become a streamer. He added, “I would like to be… especially as a live broadcaster? I'm not sure; that's still up for negotiation. That is, as a participant? You know how I could fit myself into the role and kind of dyrachyo it up a little bit? You know, until I get there, I could act like I was there. I sincerely hope so.”
He added that he wants to join a really good team so that he can get free wins. “I want to join a team where I won't have to carry the game alone because it gives me too much stress. You know, I think Gaiminis doing pretty good. Dyrachyo's job is to make space. I believe that I can make space. Not as nice as him, not as nice as Dyrachyo. I can try, even though I can't win more than one major. I could give it a try.”
Despite his optimism that he could take Dyrachyo's place as the carry for the Gaimin Gladiators, Gorgc was explicit in his assessment of his own limitations as a player. He added that he would not be able to replace Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk on Team Spirit because he could not play as well as Yatoro.
It is to be noted that Gorgc was just speculating when he made this claim—that he could replace Dyrachyo. Fans of Gorgc know that he regularly makes a variety of informal comments and assertions that resemble these in his streams.
Gorgc has played in a few professional games over the years, mostly in tier-2 tier-3 tournaments. He's also not had much luck in that regard. In the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 1: Division II, he placed eighth with Team Bald in his most recent competition.
The last time Gorgc had any contact with a professional esports team was during his time as a content creator for OG. Known as "The Monkey Business Hub," he threw several watch parties and streams during The International 2023. However, in an unanticipated development, the organization let him go in December 2023. He is back to his regular streaming sessions on stream, and he does not belong to any professional Dota 2 organizations.
