Kelden “Boostio” Pupello has officially severed ties with Evil Geniuses, marking the end of a prolonged stint in the rumored EG "contract jail." The buzz surrounding the dissolution of Evil Geniuses' VALORANT roster has finally found its resolution, and the outcome might surprise even the most ardent esports fans.

As the curtains rise on the 2024 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) season, Boostio is set to make a significant impact with his inclusion in the 100 Thieves roster. This move completes the formidable lineup, comprising Cryocells, Asuna, bang, and the recent offseason addition, eeiu. The announcement brings closure to the temporary absence left by NaturE, who took the stand-in role during the Red Bull Home Ground tournament last November.

Boostio's arrival at 100 Thieves was not only a strategic acquisition but also a reunion with former EG assistant coach Tony “Zikz” Gray, as evidenced in their announcement post.

The journey of Boostio's transition from EG to 100T had been a topic of fervent discussion for months. Speculations first arose in September, following a report by Richard Lewis, revealing EG's initial denial of 100 Thieves' buyout request. Despite persistent denials on Twitch, even from Boostio's own mother, the move eventually materialized.

Following Boostio's departure, EG finds itself reshaping its VALORANT strategy. With Ethan and Demon1 already making their move to NRG, and rumors swirling around c0m potentially joining the formidable Leviatán team, EG is in the midst of a transformative period. Notably, the organization, which has withdrawn from various esports titles and even exited the LCS, remains committed to VCT Americas for the upcoming 2024 season.
