Contrary to initial reports, DDevinity, previously misidentified as a Call of Duty pro, has primarily achieved success in Fortnite, accumulating an impressive $70,000 in earnings throughout his career, as per information on his Twitch page. Notably, Call of Duty stands out as one of his frequently streamed games on Twitch.

On December 30, a peculiar turn of events took place as DDevinity, seemingly distracted by self-indulgent twerking on his stream, inadvertently exposed the red boxes synonymous with cheating in a now-deleted broadcast.

Acknowledging the controversy, DDevinity confessed to using cheats, asserting that he had acquired them only a day before. A user named "astra" captured and published footage of this admission on December 30.

Whether the cheats were recently obtained or not remains uncertain, but such timing does little to justify the use of cheating software. The gaming community's response to DDevinity's admission varied, with some accusing him of deception, insisting that he had been cheating all along. Others dismissed his claims as the "worst excuse for cheating" they had ever heard. Even professional Apex Legends players joined the conversation, questioning the potential legal consequences for cheaters who secure prize money.

The prevalence of cheating in Call of Duty has long been a concern, with this incident marking another instance of a professional player being exposed live. Reflecting on a similar controversy in 2022, Collegiate Call of Duty player Kenji attempted to prove his clean play by setting up a monitor cam during a stream. However, he inadvertently revealed the activation of cheating software multiple times during the recording, adding to the ongoing debate about the integrity of competitive gaming.
