Bleed Esports has set the stage on fire as they welcome former Evil Geniuses star player, Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, to their Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster. CeRq, once the primary AWPer for NRG and Evil Geniuses, now steps into a fresh chapter with Bleed Esports, marking an end to 2023 and paving the way for an 2024 competitive season.
CeRq’s CS2 Journey to Bleed Esports
Guided by the strategic prowess of head coach kassad, Bleed Esports strategically pieces together their CS2 roster, boasting the talents of hampus from Ninjas in Pyjamas and the skilled rifler Josef “faveN” Baumann from BIG. Now, with CeRq wielding the iconic green sniper rifle, the team seems poised for greatness. However, the final two spots in this lineup are still vacant.
CeRq, renowned for his AWPing skills throughout his six-year CS:GO tenure, initially started off with the Outlaws, a Bulgarian CS squad. NRG recognized his potential, recruiting him in 2017. The team’s subsequent transformation into Evil Geniuses in 2019 did not hinder CeRq’s stellar performances, as he clinched victories and prestigious accolades. Yet, the tide shifted in 2021, marked by roster turbulence and a dip in CeRq’s form, leading to his departure from Evil Geniuses in 2023.
During the 2021-2022 period, CeRq’s stats, as reported by HLTV, averaged a 0.98 rating and 0.89 impact rating. Despite earnest attempts to bounce back, CeRq found himself on the sidelines as Evil Geniuses charted a new course. Now, after nearly a year in hiatus, CeRq is poised for a renaissance as Bleed Esports' primary AWPer in CS2.
