BOOM Esports, the renowned Indonesian Esports organization, is set to make a mark in the Dota 2 landscape in 2024 with its stellar roster overhaul. Departing from its traditional roots, BOOM Esports is now directing its competitive prowess towards South America, and the unveiling of its exclusive Peruvian lineup has quite shocked the gaming community.
BOOM Esports’ Dota 2 Roster for 2024 Season
The revamped roster, introduced on 27th December, showcases a blend of seasoned talent and rising stars, reinforcing BOOM Esports' commitment to dominating the South American Dota 2 scene. Notably, the absence of a mid laner adds an element of mystery and anticipation to the team's dynamics, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead.
Leading the charge is the formidable Crhistian "Pakazs" Savina, who continues his role as the team's carry player, providing a stable anchor for the squad. The supporting cast includes Mario "LittleBoy" Valdivia, known for his prowess as an offlaner and hailing from the now-disbanded Thunder Awaken. Joining him are Rodrigo "n1ght" Cruz and Jose "Panda" Padilla, both bringing their unique skill sets to the mix. Notably, Padilla, with previous experience at Evil Geniuses, adds a layer of seasoned strategy to BOOM Esports' gameplay.
Guiding this talented ensemble is Juan David "Vintage" Angulo Nicho, a seasoned coach with a proven track record, having previously mentored teams like Evil Geniuses at the International 2023 and Wawitas Sagazes at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.

In a podcast revelation on X, BOOM Esports' CEO, Gary Ongko Putera, affirmed the organization's dedication to South American competition. Ongko disclosed plans for the team's participation in the upcoming BetBoom Dacha 2024 tournament, scheduled to kick off on January 3rd. What's intriguing is the team's decision to forgo a stand-in and opt for a trial player, signaling a meticulous approach to roster finalization.
