Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024 is an offline Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament that is going to take place in Katowice, Poland. Sponsored by Intel, Monster Energy, and 1xBet, this tournam boasts a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD. It is all set to commence from 31st January and conclude on 11th February 2024. Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024 Format

The tournament will see 24 teams fight against each other for the ultimate title and a lion’s share from the prize pool. The Play-In stage will follow a double elimination format. The opening matches will be played in best of one series and the remaining matches will be played in best of five series. The top eight teams will advance to the Group Stage.

The group stage will follow a double elimination format, and all matches will be played in a best of three series. Each group will have eight teams and the top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs. Group stage winners will advance to the Semifinals, and Group stage runners-up will advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds. Group stage 3rd place teams will advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds.

The Playoffs will follow a single elimination format. The quarter finals and semifinals will be played in a best of three series. The grand final will be played in a best of five game series.

Prize Pool

The total prize pool of the event will be $1,000,000 USD. The winning team will receive $400,000 and will directly qualify for IEM Cologne 2024 and BLAST Premier World Final. The second position holder will take home the cash prize of $180,000. The 3rd-4th position holders will receive $80,000 each.The 5th-6th position holders will get $40,000 each. The 7th-8th position holders will take home  $24,000 each. The 9th-12th position holders will get $16,000 each.The 13th-16th position holders will receive $10,000 each. The 17th-20th position holders will take home  $4,500 each and 21st-24th position holders will receive $2,500 each.
