Team Vitality emerged as the undisputed champions of the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 in Abu Dhabi, securing a resounding 2-0 win against FaZe Clan. The final, marking the pinnacle of 2023's competitive events, showcased the prowess of the two premier teams, yet it was a one-sided display as FaZe struggled to assert themselves in the server.

Team Vitality’s Journey to Victory in BLAST Premier World Final 2023

Despite introducing Frozen to their roster before the finals, FaZe Clan failed to muster more than seven rounds on either map. Vitality's impenetrable CT side proved insurmountable for FaZe's attacks, and FaZe's own CT side faltered, securing only three rounds compared to Vitality's commanding 11.

While FaZe Clan's adaptation to the new roster seemed shaky, it's worth noting that Vitality's recent addition, mezii, is still acclimating to his role. However, this transitional phase didn't hinder Vitality's performance, underscoring FaZe Clan's shortcomings in the BLAST World Finals.

The driving force behind Vitality's victory was their standout AWPer, ZyWoO, whose exceptional performance on Nuke left a lasting impression on CS enthusiasts. ZyWoO's Hodor-inspired plays in a crucial round underscored FaZe Clan's struggle, with the red-and-black-clad squad managing to secure only two more rounds on Nuke. ZyWoO's remarkable 1.69 HLTV 2.0 rating across both maps, coupled with over 100 ADR, showcased his prowess when FaZe Clan exposed vulnerabilities.

With this triumph, Vitality enters the Major season with an undeniable momentum. PGL is set to host the Copenhagen Major in March 2024, where both FaZe and Vitality will be regarded as favorites. While Vitality appears to need minimal adjustments, FaZe may require additional time before mounting serious title challenges once again.
