Blast Premier: World Final 2023, which is taking place in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Arena, has come to its closing moments. The tournament has reached the Semifinals stage and only 4 teams are left.. Now as it is down to only 4 teams, the winner will take home the lion's share of $500,000 from the massive $1,000,000 USD. The teams that are left in the tournament are Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan and MOUZ.
Quarter-Final Recaps
The playoff stage commenced yesterday with the Quarterfinal, it was defending champions G2 Esports taking on Natus Vincere and Cloud9 vs Mouz. Here are the match recaps from the Quarterfinal stage.
Game 1: G2 Esports vs Natus Vincere (1-2)
Map 1: The game began on Anubis and fans got to see a draw between the teams which forced the match to overtime. G2 Esports managed to get the victory by 16-13 score.
Map 2: It was played on Inferno map and G2 led the first half by 7-5. However, it was a turn of events as Natus Vincere managed to make a comeback and made it 4-8 in the second half to register victory by 11-13.
Map 3: The final map was Nuke and it was Natus Vincere who dominated the game. The first half score was 5-7 and later in the second half, Natus Vincere made it 1-6. With this, Natus Vincere achieved the victory by 6-13.
Game 2: Cloud9 vs MOUZ (0-2)
Map 1: It was MOUZ that dominated the since the beginning on the Mirage map. The first-half score was 1-11, it was a comfortable win with a second-half score of 0-2. MOUZ won the game by 1-13.
Map 2: The game began on Ancient map, Cloud 9 got a lead in the first half by 7-5 but failed to hold the lead. In the Second half, MOUZ made it 0-8 and secured the win by 7-13.
With this, Natus Vincere eliminated the defending champions, and MOUZ with total domination made it to the Semifinals.
