Team Spirit’s captain Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naydenov discussed his opinions about Roshan's Banner, one of the newest additions to Dota 2, during a recent stream with Andrei "Dread" Golubev. After Team Spirit won at The International 2023, the professional gamer took a break and shared his thoughts on this new item.

The Dota 2 patch 7.35 introduced Roshan's Banner along with other changes on 15th December. Since then, it has sparked debate among gamers. It is a reward for killing Roshan and the item drops on the Dire side following the second death of the formidable creature.

After activation, players can position Roshan's Banner anywhere on the map for a duration of five minutes. Any lane creep that moves through it gains 75% extra health and 50% extra damage for 45 seconds, if they are within 750 metres. Once used, the banner remains active for five minutes.

Miposhka discussed the possible effects of Roshan's Banner on gameplay during the stream. Deepl was used to translate the stream transcript that was posted on the Legend WP Dota 2 Telegram channel. 

Miposhka said that he has not seen the banner in use but he drew a comparison to Heroes of the Storm. After meeting certain requirements it gives an army that is disproportionately stronger. However, the effects in Dota 2 are not that strong and only last a while following a five-minute cooldown.

Miposhka stressed on the strategic value of Roshan's Banner, particularly when a team is winning. According to him, if the banner is positioned securely, heavily boosted creeps can nearly reach the enemy base, opening up possibilities for aggressive plays and intimidating opponents.

Since the banner is destructible, so players must defend it from enemy attacks. This brings up the tactical aspect. With six hero hits or 24 creep attacks, the banner can be destroyed which gives opposing teams more options when making decisions. As per Miposhka, Roshan's Banner is a great addition to the game that creates a distinct dynamic that has a big impact on team dynamics and strategy.
