In a blog post event which was released on 14th December, Dota 2 officially hinted at three significant changes and the imminent release of the Frostivus event. Additionally, it hinted at an important Dota 2 update and event that is connected to the Frostivus celebration. A mysterious character known as King Kringle makes an appearance in the Dota 2 world on Frostivus Eve, bringing with him gifts that are both altered and mysterious. According to a recent development from Valve, the Frostivus event may be released tomorrow,15th December, along with loads of in-game item changes and removals.
In the most recent blog post, three significant announcements were hinted at, appropriately named "The Dark Night Before Frostivus." The updates came in the shape of "sacks" that were encrypted. According to the tweet ,the first sack of gifts is unknown to the realm: the Nemesis Curse, the Whisper of dread, the Moonlight Tiara and much more. The first sack is unknown to the Dota2 community.
There is speculation in the The Dota 2 community that these new names are somewhat related to the Dota 2 heroes, namely Templar Assassin, Luna, and Muerta. Some others speculated that these may be personas, sets, or new immortals for the heroes listed as well as other heroes. Others thought these might be brand-new neutral objects.
The second sack may indicate that the in-game items will undergo a lot of changes. The lines hinted that some gifts are improved and some gifts are deranged. One only needs to be concerned that they have altered. Arcane Boots, Bloodthorn, and the Orb of Corrosion. Since they were last worn, these are changed. It was reported that these specific items, along with other game elements, had undergone changes. This may indicate that the goal of the patch is to balance the in-game items.
"Favorite Kind... The Gift I Take Back" by King Kringle was the third and final sack. These lines may indicate the removal of most neutral in-game items like Titan Sliver, Penta-Edged Sword, Quickening Charm, Ring of Aquila and Quarterstaff. Another line suggested removal of neutral items from the game. Maybe this will only be applicable for PVE/PVF events as speculated by many which may come along with the update. Additionally, it was hinted that Roshan and The Tormentor may have new powers.
