Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam will host the Arena of Valor International Championship 2023 from 30th November to 24th December 2023. It is being hosted by well-known online game developer Garena. For the first time, the AIC franchise's A-Tier eSports competition has been descaled to include only teams from the Garena Region. Additionally, this will be the first AIC in which neither TiMi Studios nor Level Infinite will be involved in.The most recent Arena of Valor International Championship was won by V Gaming of Vietnam in 2022.
Format And Schedule
There are two stages in the 2023 Arena of Valor International Championship: the Group Stage and the Knockout Stage.The tournament's Group Stage will take place from 30th November to 10th December. The twelve participating teams have been split into two groups, Group A and Group B. Each group will consist of six teams.
The Group Stage matches will be played in best-of-three series in a single round format. Each group's top four teams will advance to the Knockout Stage.There will be a double elimination bracket for the Knockout Stage. The first round of the knockout stage will feature best of five series for the matches, and best of seven series for the remaining matches. Every match is conducted using the Global Ban Pick Rule.
The total prize pool for the event is $5,00,000 USD.
Knockout Stage
In the upper bracket quarterfinals, Deep Cross Gaming will compete against Flash Wolves and Valencia CF will compete against Hongkong Attitude. Similarly Talon Esports will compete against Bacon Time and B Esports x Hydra will play against Bikertopia Esports. The respective winners will proceed to the Upper bracket semifinals.
