Behavior Interactive has revealed that Dead by Daylight will be compatible with Rainbow Six Siege from Ubisoft. The in-game store of Dead By Daylight is now selling the new Rainbow Six Siege Collection. It comes with three additional skins.

Released in 2016, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game developed by Behavior Interactive. In order to get away from the fifth player who assumes the role of the Killer, a group of four Survivors must cooperate. At the moment, Dead by Daylight has 39 playable Survivors and 34 Killers, and the developer regularly releases DLC to add more. In addition to the original characters, the cast of Dead by Daylight features crossover characters from Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead, Halloween, Stranger Things, and The Ring.

A brief teaser for the new Rainbow Six content was released by Dead by Daylight. There are no new Killers or Survivors in Rainbow Six Siege Collection. However, it provides three already-existing characters with different skins. Every character is modelled after an Operator from Ubisoft's well-liked cooperative first-person shooter. The crossover was mentioned in Behavior Interactive's November 2023 roadmap.

For Dead by Daylight, crossovers are nothing new, but Rainbow Six Siege is a surprising choice. Though this isn't always the case, previous crossovers have appeared in video games, films, comic books, and even web series. However, they were typically firmly placed within the horror genre. For example, in May 2022, Behavior released the crossover for Attack on Titan. It's not really horror in the traditional sense, although it might be close to it. Although not strictly a crossover, Dead by Daylight's Nicholas Cage Chapter Pack was also released in July 2023, which added the renowned actor as a playable survivor.

No one imagined a crossover between the video games Dead by Daylight and Rainbow Six Siege. This might pave the way for more peculiar crossovers. Though characters such as Alan Wake or Isaac Clarke might seem like better fits, it's not impossible that Lara Croft or John Marston could make an appearance at some point, provided the publishers are open to the idea.
