B8 Esports Qualifies For Dota 2 Tournament Grand Finals First Time Ever
B8 Esports had to compete in the European Pro League Season 14 without their carry player Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey since he quit the team on 12th November. After that Tamás "lowskill" Kaszás was brought in by B8 Esports as his substitute.
The following players are on the team for Season 14 of the European Pro League:
Ten teams were invited in this invitation only tournament, and out of them two teams, namely Team Tickles and Alliance, avoided the group stages and went directly to the playoff seeds. The remaining eight other teams had to battle it out for securing a spot in the playoffs. Among them B8 Esports secured the third place place with an impressive score of 5-2.
In the playoffs, B8 Esports defeated strong opponents such as NAVI Jr, Alliance, and MarsBet Team. The team will now face Team Tickles in a best of five match and the winning team will walk away with $5000 USD.
Although it is a tier 3 tournament, it is a proud moment for Dendi, the Dota 2 legend. The community adores him for his silly character and his dominance over Pudge.
A few months ago, B8 Esports played against Team Tickles at the Pinnacle Cup Malta Vibes #4. The team came dangerously close to qualifying for the grand finals and this was a memorable match. However,Team Tickles won 2-1 in the semifinals and eliminated B8 from the tournament with a 3rd–4th place finish.
At the EPL Season 14 Grand Finals,Team Tickles will again face B8 Esports. No doubt B8 Esports will give it their all in this rematch and could win for the first time in the group's history.
