National Electronic Sports Tournament (NEST) 2023 has reached its playoff stage as 8 out of 17 teams have managed to qualify. The single round-robin formats are over now and it's time for some single elimination bracket actions. The matches are set to commence today and will go on till the 3rd of December at Jinjiang International Convention & Exhibition Centre in China. The top two teams from the group stage were set to compete in the playoffs but EDward Gaming and LNG Esports withdrew themselves from the remaining fixtures.
Teams that made it to the Playoffs
According to the group stage standings, from Group A, FunPlus Phoenix and JD Gaming made it to the Playoffs. Royal Never Give Up and Bilibili Gaming were able to secure their spot in Playoffs from Group B. Oh My God and Weibo Gaming from Group C were able to make it to the Playoffs and from Group D, it was Team WE and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
If we look at the standings, EDward Gaming and LNG Esports from Group C and Group D were the ones who made it to the playoffs. However, these teams withdrew themselves from the tournament. There was a clash of schedule for EDward Gaming as they are also playing Esports Shanghai Masters 2023, while LNG had an issue regarding the offline event because of roster unavailability.
