The highly anticipated Season 8 of Overwatch 2 is all set to kick off with a bang on 5th December, bringing a new addition to the hero lineup—the tank hero, Mauga. Blizzard recently took to Twitter to showcase the character's interaction with fans, and amidst the Q&A session, a glimpse into Mauga's upcoming skin, the Bonesplinter, was revealed.
Overwatch 2: Bonesplinter Mauga Skin Overview
The Bonesplinter skin shows Mauga, a strong character in Talon, wearing the scary remains of his defeated enemies. He carries a big chain gun and has large shoulder pads with sharp metal on them for protection. He also wears a huge red necklace with blue braids and sharp blades, making him look even scarier. Fans might notice that this skin looks similar to the one hinted at in Blizzard's season eight key art.
People are curious about how to get this spooky skin. While the exact way is still unknown, Overwatch fans can probably find it in the game's battle pass. Based on Blizzard's usual way of doing things, a Mauga skin is usually in the early levels of the battle pass, so players who work hard can aim to get it. The Bonesplinter skin fits well with the hunting theme of season eight, making players even more excited to get this special cosmetic in the first 20 levels of the battle pass.
The revelation of the Bonesplinter skin unfolded during a unique Twitter experience orchestrated by Blizzard's social media team. Conducted as an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with Mauga at the helm, fans were treated to insights and surprises. In response to a clever request for a skin "leak," the Overwatch Twitter account promptly shared the captivating Bonesplinter image.
