National Electronic Sports Tournament 2023, hosted by CGA, is a yearly post-season tournament comprising teams from League of Legends Development League (LDL) and League of Legends Pro League (LPL). The tournament takes place on the China server with both offline and online modes. A total of 17 teams are competing in this tournament, andthe group stage has already started. The format for group stage is single round-robin format, which is being played in a best-of-one series. The tournament will go on till 3rd December.
Current scenario of the tournament
All the 17 teams are divided into 4 groups. Top 2 teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The playoffs will feature a single- elimination bracket with all games of bestof-3 series. A total of five matches were played yesterday, 24th of November. From Group A fans got to see a clash between Top Esports and JD Gaming. In Group B, fans got to see a fixture between Invictus Gaming vs Anyone’s Legends. From Group C, fans got to witness a total of two matches, first match was EDward Gaming vs Weibo Gaming and second EDward Gaming vs Ultra Prime. LGD Gaming took on ThunderTalk Gaming in Group D Fixture.
With this, only 2 more match days are left before the tournament reaches the Playoffs. Currently, FunPlus Pheonix and JD Gaming are leading Group A. Bilibili Gaming and Royal Never Give Up leading Group B. EDward Gaming and Oh My God leading Group C and from Group D, its Team WE and LNG Esports.
