Dota 2 has five distinct roles that players need to take in order to form a winning-strategy. These roles include Carry, Midlaner, Offlaner, Roamer, and Hard Support. One of the most important among these is Carry. The ability of a Carry player in the early game often determines the late game strategies, making them the most crucial hero on the team. The middle and end stages of the game are mostly dominated by them and they play a significant role in team battles. In this article, we will have a look into which carry heroes are the best in the current game version.

1.Medusa

The first hero on our list is none other than Medusa. In the latest game patches, she might be the biggest beneficiary. Once she was considered to be weak but now she is the probably the best carry hero in the game. Her ranking in top lists was erratic for years, but with the right farm, she can fight the enemy team all on her own. Her split shot allows her to deal massive damage to multiple players at once, and her insane tankies allows her to deal unstoppable damage to them all at once. With modifications to Mana Shield  ,her primary power, she can stack mana without worrying about HP or armour. At the moment, in Dota 2, Medusa is one of the most frequently chosen heroes.

2.Spectre

Spectre comes second on our list. She is a hard carry and primarily depends on her itemisation, but she can easily destroy the enemy heroes in late game, thanks to her defence passive ability and burst damage. With her potent Ulti, she can take out multiple enemies at once, spawning a single Spectre illusion at every hero’s location on the map.

3. Anti-mage

Anti-mage gets the third position on our list. He is a great hero and can easily turn the tide of the match and puts the opposing team on the defensive if in the right hands. He is probably the best hero in the game, thanks to his illusions and incredible farming skills. With a Blade Fury in his inventory, Anti-mage is the king of split pushing. All over the map, he can farm creep waves and enemy teams can’t stop him.

4. Faceless Void

Faceless Void has earned the fourth position on our list. He has been among the top heroes for a long time and possibly one of the big play kings in Dota 2. Chronosphere, his trademark ultimate, can stop time entirely for a few seconds which is far more than a farmed Faceless Void needs to defeat a few heroes. His ability kit gives him survivability, amazing mobility, and a potent passive stun that can proc on every physical attack.

5. Morphling

The last hero on our list is none other than Morphling. Morphing turns into a liquid and charges forward and damages enemy units in his way.In Waveform, Morphling is impervious to damage. Morphing sends a wave of water flying in the direction of an enemy unit, dealing base damage plus extra damage determined by multiplying Morphling's agility.
