Red Bull Campus Clutch 2023, organized by Redbull and Riot Games, has reached the Playoffs stage after some entertaining group stage actions. The tournament comprises players who are registered in universities as students. A total of 16 teams made it to the Playoffs from a pool of 34 teams. The tournament holds a prize pool of €20,000 EUR and is currently taking place at Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. The playoffs began today, 23rd November, which were played in a single-elimination format. Following today’s matches, only eight teams have left in the competition.
Recaps from the Round 1 Actions
Round 1 of Red Bull Campus Clutch 2023 saw some exciting matches played in a best-of-three series. Some matches were one-sided but few gave some good fights. We can see these youngsters giving their best and putting up some great shows. Let us have a quick look on the matches and their results.
Match 1: NemAPAU vs Ispini Enjoyer
The first match was played between NemAPAU vs Ispini Enjoyers. The first game went easy for Ispini Enjoyers as they won by 3-13 scores. In the Second Game, NemAPAU made a comeback with a score of 13-9 to tie the series. The third game was close but the efforts from NemAPAU went in vain as Ispini Enjoyers won by 11-13, closing the series with 2-1 score.
Match 2: Narodni Garda vs Przejazd
It was a one-sided game between Narodni Garda vs Przejazd. Narodni Garda won both the games and made it 2-0 in the best-of-3 series.
Match 3: Garuda vs BubatzBuben
The third match saw Garuda fight against BubatzBuben. The first game went to overtime but Garuda made it a 15-13 win while the second game was also clinched by them with a score of 13-3, winning the series with 2-0 score.
Match 4: Team Snakes vs Los Vigenetes
The game between Team Snakes and Los Vigenetes was totally dominated by Team Snakes. They clinched the win in the first game by 13-0 and the second game by 13-7, ultimately winning the series with 2-0 score.
Match 5: Werder Weremem vs Zen Esports
Werder Weremem was totally devastated as Zen Esports enjoyed a comfortable win against them by 0-2 in the best-of-3 series.
Match 6: St. Clair Saints vs VAC Kimchi
St. Clair Saints triumphed against VAC Kimchi with a score of 13-3 and 13-11 in the first and second games respectively, winning the series with 2-0 score.
Match 7: RETIREDGAMERS vs Aussie Underdog
RETIREDGAMERS and Aussie Underdog gave a good show as the results came out 2-1 in the best-of-3 games. First match went to overtime and RETIREDGAMERS won by 14-12. Aussie Underdog turned the table with a comeback win in the second game. But later it was RETIREDGAMERS who sealed their victory, winning the series with 2-0 score.
Match 8: Gumkaci vs Valiant PBL
Gumkaci and Valiant PBL clashed with each other. The final results came in favor of Valiant as they won the series by 1-2 scores.
