Riot Games Announces First-Ever Official Indian Valorant Tournament - Convergence

Riot Games has announced its first-ever international Valorant tournament to take place in India, Convergence 2023, all set to unfold in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Riot Games, in collaboration with The Esports Club, is bringing this Valorant showdown to the Manpho Convention Center from 14th to 17th December.

India to Get Its First Official Valorant Esports Tournament Convergence 

Six elite teams, carefully selected from different corners of the globe, will battle it out on LAN in front of a live audience. Among the international contenders are powerhouses like FURIA Esports, FUT Esports, Gen.G Esports, and Team Vitality, converging with the local favorites, Global Esports.

Marking a significant milestone in Riot Games' commitment to India's gaming culture, Convergence 2023 aims to showcase the country's burgeoning esports scene. Bengaluru, often hailed as the Silicon Valley of India, serves as the perfect backdrop for this unprecedented event.

Five of the participating teams have already been revealed. Following are those teams:

  • FURIA Esports - Brazil (VCT Americas)
  • FUT Esports - Turkey (VCT EMEA)
  • Team Vitality - France (VCT EMEA)
  • Gen.G Esports - South Korea (VCT Pacific)
  • Global Esports - India (VCT Pacific)

The sixth team to join the tournament is not yet announced.
