Blizzard Entertainment organized the Overwatch 2 Flash Ops Holiday Showdown - Korea Qualifiers which is a part of the Flash Ops series. A total of 8 teams are part of this tournament based in South Korea. The tournament commenced on 18th of November with the group-stage fixtures following the round-robin format. Currently, the knockout stage is going on which follows Double-elimination brackets with all matches of first to 3 wins the game. Top 3 teams will get a chance to play in the APAC Finals. The games also include 5 modes with different maps. 

The Map Pool and current scenario of the games 

As mentioned above, the game includes 5 game modes which are Control, Hybrid, Flashpoint, Push, and Escort. Each game mode has different characteristics. The maps for game mode Control were Ilios, Busan, Lijiang and Samoa. Hybrid had Blizzard World, Pariso and Midtown. Flashpoint only had New Junk City and Suravasa. Push game mode had Esperanca and New Queen Street and Escort map pool had Circuit Royal, Railto and Route 66. 

Teams that are playing in this tournament are Poker Face, O2 High School, Runaway, Sin Parisa Gaming, ISOHAN, Team 815, The Smurfs and Hamster. Let’s move toward the match results from the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals. 

Match 1: RunAway vs Sin Prisa Gaming 

RunAway totally dominated the games and they made it a flawless win with 3-0 scores across three games. 

Match 2: ISOHAN vs O2 High School 

It was also a one-sided game as O2 High School gave no chance to ISOHAN to show their gameplay. The score of the game was 0-3. 

Match 3: The Smurfs vs Team 815

The Smurfs tried their best to give competition but failed to hold against Team 815. The final score of the match was 1-3 as Team 815 were the winners. 

Match 4: Poker Face vs Hamster 

Hamster comfortably won the match and the final score of the game was 0-3. 

With this RunAway, O2 High School, Team 815 and Hamster made it to the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Tomorrow fans will witness four matches, two from Upper Brackets and two from Lower Brackets. Keep reading to know more.
