T1 emerged as the champions of the Worlds 2023 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on 19 November, showcasing a dominant performance in the tournament. T1 and its star player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok lifted his fourth League of Legends (LoL) Worlds trophy. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol extended his heartfelt congratulations to T1 for clinching its fourth League of Legends Worlds title.

 The President, in a statement eloquently translated by Korizon Esports’ Ashley Kang, applauded T1's triumph and pledged support to the thriving Korean gaming industry. 

Beyond being just a game, League of Legends holds profound significance in South Korea, with the LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea) nurturing some of the finest players in the esports realm. Notably, South Korea's dominance was further underscored by their gold medal triumph at the Asian Games 2022 League of Legends event, affirming the nation's standing as the powerhouse of esports. 

President Yoon Suk Yeol's congratulatory message translated to, "Dear T1 players, I wholeheartedly congratulate your first World Championship in seven years, your fourth World Championship."
