In a surprising twist for the upcoming 2024 LCS season, Nicolaj Jensen, the seasoned mid laner renowned for his League of Legends prowess, is set to make a significant move to FlyQuest. This marks Jensen's fourth venture into the LCS, adding another chapter to his storied career just a year after donning the colors of Dignitas, where he replaced VicLa.

LoL Pro Jensen to Reportedly Join FlyQuest

News of this roster shuffle surfaced through a report by the esteemed League blog, Sheep Esports, on Nov. 14. Jensen's decision to join FlyQuest comes on the heels of a season with Dignitas, where his strategic gameplay steered the team from a challenging tenth-place finish in the Spring Split to a commendable appearance in the LCS Championship in August.

While the departure from Dignitas hasn't been officially confirmed, speculations have been rife since the report surfaced nearly a month ago. If Jensen does find his stride with FlyQuest, it will mark his fourth collaboration with a different LCS organization in as many years, highlighting his adaptability and sought-after skills in the League scene.

Interestingly, Sheep Esports' report hinted at another LEC squad vying for Jensen's services for the first split of the 2024 season. However, FlyQuest emerged victorious in this competitive race for the Danish veteran, ensuring his presence in the U.S. for at least the initial split of the new year.

FlyQuest, in anticipation of the upcoming season, initiated a strategic reset, bidding farewell to the majority of its 2023 roster in September. The 28-year-old Dane, Jensen, is now poised to lead the team's new core, featuring notable names like Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau and Kacper "Inspired" Słoma. Additionally, the roster will welcome the promising AD carry, Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek, promoted from FlyQuest Challengers, and former 100 Thieves support, Alan "Busio" Cwalina.

If the reports hold true, FlyQuest is poised to field a formidable lineup blending the vigor of youth with the wisdom of experience. Their aim is clear - to secure a top spot in the LCS and clinch a coveted appearance at Worlds for the second time. The last time FlyQuest graced the Worlds stage was in 2020, with a diverse lineup led by Santorin, WildTurtle, and IgNar, narrowly missing the quarterfinals.
