Velocity Gaming, a prominent name in the Indian esports scene, has announced its departure from the industry. Owner Manoj "Sentinel" Kasyap revealed this momentous decision, marking the end of an era in Indian esports. With this exit, the organization parts ways with its rosters across various gaming titles, leaving a void in the Indian gaming community.
The Rise and Fall of Velocity Gaming
Velocity Gaming made significant strides in the Indian esports landscape, particularly in the global Valorant arena. They served as a platform for both emerging talents and experienced players, fostering growth within the Indian gaming community. However, the journey had its own set of challenges.
After a promising run in the Valorant Challengers Split in South Asia, Velocity Gaming's owner, Sentinel, shared insights into the organization's financial struggles. He highlighted how the organization had exhausted resources initially allocated for a span of five years within just two years. Sentinel had hinted at Velocity Gaming's possible exit from the Indian gaming community long before the official announcement.
Fans held their breath for VCT Ascension 2023, anticipating Velocity Gaming's triumphant return. The Valorant lineup, led by Europe's Ec1s and featuring former Fnatic pro Doma, boasted a formidable roster. However, despite their potential, the team lacked some crucial pieces to secure a spot in VCT Ascension 2023.
In the wake of their underwhelming performance at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) tournament, Velocity Gaming took the painful decision to part ways with their Battlegrounds Mobile roster. The squad's journey in the BGIS tournament culminated in disappointment, as they were unable to progress past the tournament's Losers Bracket.

While the present is tinged with sadness and nostalgia for the days of VLT lineups, the future remains uncertain.
