While we have yet to see Hwei in action, he's been teased as a painter, promising to bring a burst of creativity and color to the mid lane. Although no visual representations of Hwei were disclosed in the recent developer update, a tantalizing piece of complementary art featuring vibrant colors and abstract stylization offers a glimpse of his artistic vision.

Gao's comments shed light on Hwei's background, indicating that his skills have evolved beyond his previous masters, allowing him to create a unique artistic style. This year, League of Legends has seen relatively few champion releases, with only three newcomers joining the roster. If Hwei doesn't make his debut until early 2024, this would mark one of Riot's leanest years in terms of champion releases.
