League Championship Series (LCS) veteran Hai "Hai" Du Lam is making a triumphant return to Cloud9 as the new team manager of the organization's League of Legends division. This announcement marks Hai's long-anticipated comeback to a top-tier LCS esports team, following his departure from the Golden Guardians in 2018.
LCS Veteran Hai Joins Cloud9 as League of Legends Manager
Hai, a former professional mid laner, is synonymous with innovation and adaptability, having been one of the pioneering shotcallers in the competitive League of Legends scene during its early years. His return to the Cloud9 fold is not only a homecoming but a reunion with the countless fans who fondly remember his stellar performances. Hai is renowned for his versatility, having played across multiple roles for Cloud9, including mid lane, support roles, and even jungle.
The 31-year-old's journey has been a storied one, with his time at Cloud9 alongside legendary NA players like Zachary "Sneaky" Scuderi and William "Meteos" Hartman etching memories in the annals of LCS history. Together, they embarked on memorable runs that included two LCS championships, three World Championship appearances, and epic rivalries with other esteemed organizations such as TSM and Team Liquid.
Hai's path diverged from Cloud9 as he ventured into FlyQuest and Golden Guardians between 2017 and 2018. However, his ultimate venture led him to establish his own esports organization, Radiance, which competed in various lower-tier tournaments and recently made an appearance in the Proving Grounds.
With Hai's return to Cloud9, the organization has acquired not only a skilled manager but also a fountain of knowledge and experience. As Cloud9's League division prepares for the 2023 World Championship in South Korea, Hai's leadership and mentorship will be invaluable.
