Global Esports, a prominent Valorant franchise from India, has parted ways with one of its key players Kim "t3xture" Na-ra. With the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2024 on the horizon, the organization finds itself in the midst of a major revamp, as it bids farewell to key players and staff members. As of 13th September, Global Esports is left with just three active Valorant players, signaling a significant transformation in their roster strategy.

Global Esports Faces Major Roster Changes Ahead of Valorant Champions Tour 2024

The transfer window for VCT teams has officially opened, granting them the freedom to make crucial lineup changes in preparation for the upcoming season. Global Esports, reflecting on their performance in VCT 2023, where they fielded a roster of seven talented players, is now poised for substantial alterations in both their lineup and overall strategy as they gear up for VCT 2024.

The series of changes began in July 2023 when Michael "WRONSKI" Wronski announced his retirement from Valorant, marking the start of a pivotal period for the organization. Shortly after, the team's former captain, Jordan "AYRIN" He, declared that he would not be renewing his contract with Global Esports. Instead, he expressed his intention to explore opportunities in North America and Europe for VCT 2024, with a willingness to take on roles ranging from In-Game Leader (IGL) to Sentinel, Controller, or Initiator.

Following AYRIN's announcement, Park "Bazzi" Jun-ki disclosed on September 12th that he had received permission to scout for new opportunities while still under contract with Global Esports. Bazzi is ready to assume various roles, excluding that of a Controller. The departures continued as Global Esports said goodbye to Kim "t3xture" Na-ra on September 13th, offering their best wishes for his future endeavors in a heartfelt video commemorating his time with the team.

The coaching staff also underwent changes, with the departure of head coach Hong "Eraser" Chang-pyo on July 31st. Eraser is now open to joining a new team for VCT 2024 and is proficient in both English and Korean languages.

The current Valorant lineup for Global Esports consists of only three players: Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar, Abhirup "Lightningfast" Choudhury, and Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha. However, rumors have been circulating that Global Esports may have entered into a verbal agreement with Paper Rex regarding the transfer of Monyet. Additionally, there is speculation about the organization's interest in acquiring Gary "blaZek1ng" Dastin, who is currently an inactive member of BOOM Esports.
