In the wake of a disappointing showing at VCT Champions 2023, T1 VALORANT is gearing up for a fresh start in the new year. The renowned esports organization is reportedly making significant changes to its roster, aiming to reignite its competitive prowess.
T1 Seems to be Moving Away From Korean Roster
T1 VALORANT is making waves in the esports community by signing Australian in-game leader Nick "tixx" Quinn as their newest member for the 2024 season. This decision marks a pivotal moment in tixx's career, as he transitions from the South Asian Challengers scene to one of the most storied organizations in the VALORANT competitive sphere.
Accompanying tixx is Ham "iZu" Woo-joo, an 18-year-old prospect currently making waves in the Japanese VALORANT scene. iZu's reported role as a flex player promises to add versatility to the team, enhancing its adaptability in different situations.
T1’s Valorant Journey
The journey leading up to these roster changes has been a tumultuous one for T1. Throughout the year, they grappled with inconsistency both domestically and internationally. Their struggles culminated in early exits at prestigious tournaments such as the 2023 LOCK//IN tournament in São Paulo, VCT Masters Tokyo, and a particularly disappointing run at Champions 2023 in Los Angeles. Notably, they failed to secure a single map win against FUT Esports during the group stage.
Despite these setbacks, T1 VALORANT now stands at the threshold of a promising new chapter. Notably, language barriers should not hinder the integration of their new players, as a significant portion of the existing roster is proficient in English, facilitating seamless communication.

Yet, as the organization welcomes fresh talent, questions arise about which current players will make way for the new additions. Joseph "ban" Seungmin Oh, the team's controller player, faces uncertainty in light of tixx's arrival, potentially reshaping the team's dynamic.
