The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) is no stranger to twists and turns. The latest development that has sent ripples through the gaming community involves two prominent organizations, G2 Esports and FlyQuest, rumored to make their mark in VCT 2024. 

G2 Esports and FlyQuest Might Join VCT 2024 

The rumors emerged when Lembo, a content creator for Giants Gaming, took to Twitter to share the buzz. According to his tweets in his native Spanish, both G2 Esports and FlyQuest have entered discussions with former players from The Guard. The prospect of these two organizations joining VCT 2024 is now more tangible than ever. 

Adding to the intrigue is a leak from NRG coach Chet “Chet” Singh's stream. In an accidental revelation, Chet shared messages with former The Guard player Ian “tex” Botsch, who hinted at offers from teams such as Dignitas and FlyQuest. It's not just tex who might find a new home with FlyQuest; some members of The Guard's core may also make the transition. While the team aims to stick together, the lure of rebuilding with other organizations is undeniable. 

Both G2 Esports and FlyQuest boast impressive histories within Riot Games and the VALORANT scene. G2 Esports had a formidable VALORANT squad prior to the advent of franchising, featuring star Europeans like Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas. Although they initially fell short of Ascension, G2 Esports released their VALORANT roster in July 2023. With a vacant slot now up for grabs, they are reconsidering their stance on VALORANT.

FlyQuest, on the other hand, is a relatively new entrant to the VALORANT esports arena. While they have a Game Changers roster, FlyQuest RED, competing in North America, their journey began on June 1, 2023. Despite competing in only one tournament and failing to qualify for the North America series, FlyQuest has captured attention, primarily due to their success in League of Legends. With a string of achievements since 2017, including a third-place finish in the LCS Spring season for 2023, FlyQuest is a name synonymous with regional success in League of Legends. This successful partnership with Riot Games in another title further fuels excitement about their venture into VALORANT.
