Popular Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team GodLike Esports has bid farewell to the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2, marking the end of its journey filled with challenges. Despite high hopes and anticipation, the team's valiant efforts fell just shy of the mark, leaving them eliminated from the tournament in a shocking turn of events.
From the outset, GodLike Esports faced an uphill battle in BGMS Season 2, encountering obstacles that proved insurmountable. Their initial setback came in the form of failure to qualify for Super Weekend 1, a missed opportunity to accumulate crucial points on the overall leaderboard. However, the team was determined to make a comeback as they entered League Week 2, but they failed, leading to their ultimate elimination. Alongside them, Revenant Esports, Spy Esports, and True Rippers also found themselves unable to secure a spot in Super Weekend 2.
With 16 coveted slots up for grabs in Super Weekend 2, the competition was fierce, especially considering the four teams that had already solidified their positions through Super Weekend 1. The remaining 12 slots were fiercely contested.
Tragically, GodLike Esports' pursuit of victory was hampered by a lackluster performance, relegating them to the 15th spot on the League Week 2 leaderboard. Presently positioned at the 19th spot on the comprehensive leaderboard, the team's journey fell short of expectations that accompanied them at the start of the tournament.
As the dust settles on GodLike Esports' campaign in BGMS Season 2, the reality of their elimination reverberates deeply. The disappointment shared among their fans is palpable, as the team's absence from the upcoming stages leaves an undeniable void.
