Controversial Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player, Sagar "Saggy" Kumar, has qualified for the LAN tournament - BGMI Master Series 2 despite being caught cheating in 2022. Despite the accusations that once rocked the esports community, Nodwin Gaming, a prominent organizer, has declared Saggy's devices as verified and granted him entry into the prestigious tournament. However, fans and other prominent personalities in the gaming community are not happy with this decision.
Saggy's recent Instagram story post celebrates his qualification for the LAN event after a year and a half of relentless dedication. The player slyly references the past accusations as mere speculation, indicating that he has received approval by Nodwin Gaming after thorough scrutiny.
The hacking allegations against Saggy first emerged in April 2022, with a viral video clip exposing his use of iOS Zero hacks during gameplay. Fellow BGMI pro, Saumraj, from Skylightz Gaming, raised doubts about Saggy's clutches in third-party tournaments, citing suspicious activities observed during his live streams. It was alleged that Saggy had jailbroken his iOS device to gain an unfair advantage using the "Winios Zero" app.
Despite these serious allegations, Saggy maintained his innocence initially, claiming that the apps showcased in the viral clip had nothing to do with his gaming. However, further scrutiny led him to admit the allegations against him and apologize to his audience, particularly addressing S8UL Sid's accusations.
Now, with Nodwin Gaming's nod of approval, Saggy has seemingly turned the tide in his favor. The esports organization's decision to verify his devices and allow him to participate in the LAN tournament has sparked mixed reactions among the gaming community. While some see this as an opportunity for redemption, others continue to question the authenticity of his gameplay and the implications of Nodwin Gaming's endorsement.
It will be interesting to see how Nodwin Gaming reacts after getting backlashes from the entire BGMI community.
