Timothy "iiTzTimmy" An’s Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) team The Dojo, which was a last-minute makeshift team emerged victorious in the North America (NA) ALGS Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). The team comprised well-known Apex Legends creators and competitors iiTzTimmy, Tyler "Dezignful" Gardner, and Alexander "Enemy" Rodriguez. The star-studded squad set out with a singular goal – to secure a spot in the prestigious ALGS Championship LAN event. Despite facing fierce opposition from more seasoned and practiced teams, The Dojo defied all odds to claim their place among the world's best teams in the UK this September.

The Dojo Dominates NA ALGS LCQ

"It is actually just a very unreal feeling," exclaimed iiTzTimmy in a post-game ALGS interview. The victory came as a vindication for the team, who had been subjected to skepticism and negativity from some quarters. "With the amount of history I have in competitive Apex, and not only that, like the amount of hate our team… you know, obviously, we have our fans, but a lot of hate, a lot of doubt that we had on our team. A lot of people just thought we weren’t going to do well. But being able to prove we can do it and that we deserve this spot is just an incredible feeling," he added.

While the achievement is monumental for The Dojo, it's essential to note that these three players are no strangers to competitive Apex. Enemy, having joined the scene in 2021, was most recently associated with Oxygen Esports. Dezignfu boasts a veteran status, starting with AimAssist in 2020 and eventually moving up to the G2 roster in the summer of 2021. After a challenging performance with G2 during last year's ALGS Split 2 Playoffs, Dezignfu took a step back from competitive play to focus on streaming and content creation. However, he made a triumphant return this year, joining Elev8 Entertainment in March before eventually forming The Dojo.

As for iiTzTimmy, he has a rich history with competitive gaming, having transitioned from League of Legends to Apex before becoming a successful creator with 100 Thieves. However, his breakthrough into Pro League level play only came with The Dojo's standout performance during this last-chance qualifier.

The formation of The Dojo was announced in June, and within a week, they secured their place in the Champs LCQ by finishing second in the Circuit 4 Challengers Circuit individual tournament, amassing enough points to qualify.

Their journey in the LCQ was nothing short of awe-inspiring, with an impressive 78 points in the group stage, tying with Stallions for the top spot. Though they narrowly missed out on the lead in kills, they surged ahead to win the upper bracket with a commanding 137 points, dwarfing second-place FURIA's 66.
