In a surprising turn of events, Michael "WRONSKI" Wronski has announced his retirement from competitive Valorant after parting ways with Global Esports. The Australian-Laotian player was recently cut from the extended Valorant roster of the organization just days before the VCT 2023: Pacific Last Change Qualifier was set to commence.

“This Industry Isn’t For Me” -  WRONSKI

Global Esports officially confirmed WRONSKI's departure on July 14th and wished him the best for his future endeavors. However, what caught the Valorant community off guard was WRONSKI's unexpected decision to retire from the competitive scene shortly after the news broke. In a statement, he expressed that the esports industry is not the right fit for him, closing the door on his professional gaming career.

During his nearly nine-month tenure with Global Esports, WRONSKI had limited opportunities to represent the organization. He participated in only four official matches, all of which took place during the regular season of the VCT 2023 Pacific League. Despite his short stint, WRONSKI made his mark on the battlefield, showcasing his skills primarily with agents like KAY/O, occasionally switching to Sage and Jett.

WRONSKI's departure not only leaves a void in Global Esports' active lineup but also marks his exit from competitive Valorant altogether. The talented player, who previously showcased his abilities while representing esteemed organizations like Chiefs Esports Club, Mindfreak, and ORDER, thanked Global Esports, his former teammates, and coaches for their support throughout his journey.

The announcement has sparked speculation about the future direction of Global Esports' roster. With WRONSKI's departure, the team's active lineup currently consists of Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar, Jayanth "skillZ" Ramesh, Abhirup "Lightningfast" Choudhury, Jordan "AYRIN" He as the IGL, Park "Bazzi" Jun-ki, Kim "t3xture" Na-ra, and Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha. However, sources suggest that more roster changes may be on the horizon for the organization as it prepares for upcoming competitions.

The esports world bids farewell to a player who, even in his short-lived career, left a lasting impression.
