Manoj "Sentinel" Kashyap, the owner of Velocity Gaming, recently dismissed the rumors suggesting the shut down of the organization and addressed concerns about its future. Kashyap acknowledged the speculation surrounding the potential shutdown of VLT but emphasized the team's investments in various ventures and the continued support of its fans. Although the organization has faced a slump, it does not plan to shut down. 

Velocity Gaming's Owner Reflects on Team's Challenges and Future Plans

In a recent Twitter thread, Kashyap highlighted the diverse investments made by Velocity Gaming, including ventures in Valorant, New State Mobile, content creation, and GTA roleplay. He reassured the community that the organization is too significant to shut down abruptly, considering its involvement in multiple areas of the gaming industry. 

Regarding its involvement in Valorant, Kashyap expressed that there are uncertainties within the Valorant division, and further clarity is needed. This statement suggests that decisions regarding VLT's Valorant operations are yet to be finalized. It is an indication that the organization is actively assessing the situation and seeking the best path forward for their involvement in Valorant.

To navigate through challenging times, Kashyap shared that Velocity Gaming is currently downsizing its operations to a minimum level. This strategic approach aims to ensure the organization's survival while waiting for the right opportunity to reinvest and grow again. Kashyap's emphasis on the "year of survival" underlines the challenging circumstances faced by VLT and their commitment to weathering the storm.

In his reflection as the owner, Kashyap candidly admitted that he failed to make the right decisions when the team needed him the most. As Velocity Gaming expanded over the years, Kashyap's time and control diminished, which contributed to the current situation. However, he acknowledged the importance of addressing these shortcomings and learning from them to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future. 

Kashyap also addressed the negativity that the management and players of Velocity Gaming have faced. He defended his players, emphasizing that they had put in tremendous effort for the event, even though the results may not have reflected their dedication. Kashyap urged fans not to blame the players and assured them that both he and VLT would continue to support esports in India.
