Amidst this backdrop, prominent Indian esports organization Team SouL, has been contemplating a potential move of its BGMI lineup to Dubai. In a recent livestream, Amit "Amit" Dubey, the coach of Team SouL, shed light on the organization's stance and the challenges associated with such a decision.

Amit Believes Shifting Team SouL to Dubai Would Not Be Financially Feasible

As the ban on BGMI stretches beyond nine months without any signs of its reinstatement, the need for organizations to reassess their strategies and explore alternative options has become imperative. GodLike Esports has already made headlines by considering relocating its BGMI roster to Dubai. This move has sparked discussions within the esports community, with Team SouL also being questioned about their intentions.

Team SouL has demonstrated its commitment to its BGMI lineup, even amidst a lack of salary payments due to the uncertain future of the game. Amit, however, stated during the livestream that it would be illogical to invest substantial resources without a guarantee of returns. As the coach, he emphasized that decisions of this nature should be made by the organization's owner or manager.

Amit further addressed the financial implications involved in a potential international move. Sponsoring an overseas venture would require significant financial support, covering expenses such as player salaries, visas, and boot camps. He made it clear that the expenses associated with international operations are considerably higher compared to those in India. Amit invited potential sponsors interested in providing the necessary financial backing to contact him directly.

While considering the prospect of relocating, Amit speculated that the current Team SouL players may not be willing to continue competing in PUBG Mobile. This raises the possibility of recruiting international players to form a new roster if the organization decides to pursue the international shift.

However, Amit expressed doubt about the feasibility of such a move for Indian organizations in general. He pointed out that only a small number of the numerous tier-one organizations in India would have the financial capacity to embark on such an endeavor. The challenges of international relocation, combined with the costs involved, present significant hurdles for most Indian esports organizations.
