India Female CS:GO Team Qualifies For Female Asian Championship 2023 After Defeating Sri Lanka

India's female CS:GO team has secured a spot in the IESF Female Asian Championship 2023 after defeating Sri Lanka in the South Asian Qualifier. The Indian team known as 'Top G' emerged as the national female team after winning the National Esports Championship 2023 (NESC) in March. In its latest victory, the team swept the Sri Lankan team, winning two maps with a scoreline of 16-3 and 16-0 respectively. Led by Swayambika Sachar, the team will now compete in the LAN qualifier in Saudi Arabia in July, with hopes of making it to the IESF Female World Esports Championship 2023.

India Female CS:GO Team To Compete In IESF Female Asian Championship 2023

The match between India and Sri Lanka took place on 11th May, during the IESF Female Asian Championship 2023: South Asian Qualifier. The Indian team managed to secure a clean sweep against its opponents, losing only three rounds across two entire maps. This impressive victory has qualified Team India for the IESF Female Asian Championship 2023, which is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July 10th to July 17th.

The Indian team, under the moniker of 'Top G,' is made up of the best female CS:GO players in the country. The team's captain, Swayambika "Sway" Sachar, led her team to an exceptional performance during the match against Sri Lanka. Other members of the team include Nidhi "Stormyyy" Salekar, Shagufta "xyaa" Iqbal, Dilraj "COCO" Kaur Matharu, Aastha "CrackShot" Nangia, and Priyanka "ALEXAA" Choudhary as a substitute.

This win against Sri Lanka is just one step for Team India in its journey towards the IESF Female World Esports Championship 2023, where it will face off against some of the best female CS:GO teams from around the world. The team will now compete in a LAN qualifier, which is set to take place in  Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will compete against five  teams representing five different countries, including Saudi Arabia (host country), Hong Kong (Southeast Asia), Australia (Oceania), and a team from Central Asia that is yet to be determined.

The competition at the LAN qualifier is expected to be intense, with only the top two teams making it through to the IESF Female World Esports Championship 2023. The main event of the championship is set to take place in Iași, Romania, from 25th August to 3rd September.
