Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, a renowned name in the competitive Dota 2 scene, has made a surprising move by leaving Nigma Galaxy to join Team Aster. The Pakistani player had been a part of Nigma Galaxy's roster since May 2022, but his recent stand-in performance for Team Aster at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 captured the attention of many Dota 2 fans. It appears that his impressive performance paved the way for his latest move.
SumaiL To Play TI12 For Team Aster
SumaiL has established himself as one of the finest mid-laner in the Dota 2 scene. He boasts a multitude of accomplishments spanning his professional journey. Furthermore, he was part of Evil Geniuses when it won The International (TI) in 2015 and has since been a consistent performer in Dota 2.
Nigma Galaxy took to its Twitter handle to announce SumaiL’s departure from the team, which surprised numerous fans and left them curious about the reason behind this decision. SumaiL had been an essential player for the team in the past few seasons, and his departure will undoubtedly make a significant impact on Nigma Galaxy's future performances.
However, despite his departure from Nigma Galaxy, SumaiL is not leaving the competitive scene just yet. According to Team Aster's official Weibo account, SumaiL will continue playing for the Chinese team until The International 2023 (TI12), which is scheduled for later this year. It is unclear whether SumaiL will join another team or return to Nigma Galaxy after TI12.
The transfer of SumaiL to Team Aster has created a stir in the Dota 2 community. Losing SumaiL from its team will have a massive toll on Nigma Galaxy, as he was one of the most impactful players on the team. On the other hand, it would be a significant development for the Chinese powerhouse Team Aster, as it looks to improve its performance in upcoming tournaments.
