One of the most prominent esports organizations in the world, Team Liquid, has unveiled a new state-of-the-art gaming facility in São Paulo, Brazil. The facility has 13 stories with an area of 3,092 square meters and is claimed to be the largest esports facility in the world. It is named the Alienware Training Facility and is designed to be used by over 80 Liquid employees.
A Look Into the World's Largest Esports Facility by Team Liquid
The facility is located in São Paulo, Brazil and is the third of its kind opened by Team Liquid. The organization previously opened bases of operations in Los Angeles, the United States of America (USA) in 2018 and Utrecht, Netherlands in 2020. The new facility is twice the size of both of these and is specifically designed for esports training and production purposes.
The training facility is equipped with a floor dedicated to team scrim, review rooms for coaches, and soundproofed streaming booths. The remaining four floors of offices are to be used by Liquid's local staff, including ten conference rooms and rooms for editing and video production.
One of the unique features of the facility is that it can accommodate up to 20 employees across five floors. The living spaces are equipped with a gym, a Pilates studio, and decompression spaces. In addition, a full-time chef is available to cater to the employees' needs. This makes the facility a true home for Liquid's team members.
The ground floor of the Alienware Training Facility will also be open to fans at pre-scheduled times for watch parties and meet-and-greets. The ground floor will also include the first physical TL store. This will allow fans to get an up-close look at the organization's merchandise and interact with players and staff members.
The launch of this facility is part of Liquid's expansion into Brazil. The organization has signed Brazilian players in various esports titles such as Rainbow Six Siege, VALORANT, Fortnite, and Starcraft 2, as well as previously holding a Brazilian Free Fire roster. When including streamers and content creators, Liquid has 24 signed professional gamers from Brazil. Liquid also opened a localized online store for Brazilian fans and launched Liquid+, the org’s rewards program, in the country.
The launch of the Alienware Training Facility is a significant investment by Team Liquid in the growing Brazilian esports scene. Rafael Queiroz, the general manager of Liquid in Brazil, stated that the launch of this facility "reflects the importance of the country within the organization’s global strategy". The facility is a clear signal that Liquid is committed to staying in Brazil for the long haul.
