Soon, PS4 and PS5 users will be able to play the sequel to one of the worst and most contentious video games ever made. Many games, including Resident Evil 4, Tchia, MLB: The Show 23, and System Shock, are still slated to launch for PlayStation systems between now and the end of the month. This list is obviously not complete, and a new game has been added to it.
Postal 4: No Regrets will be available to PS4 and PS5 owners before Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox One X owners. According to its developer Running With Scissors, the game is "the long-awaited genuine successor" to Postal 2, one of the most infamous and polarising video games ever made.
The fourth film in the series isn't as contentious as the first, in part because the culture in which it's being released is less sensitive to excessive violence, but also because it hasn't attracted the same attention. It did receive comparably negative reviews, though. The game, which came out in 2022, had the year's lowest Metacritic rating (30).
The game is referred to as "the long-awaited genuine successor to what's been fondly described as 'The Worst Game Ever,' Postal 2" and a caustic and ridiculous comedy open-world first-person shooter in the game's official description. Tragedies that devastated the formerly proud town of Paradise occurred years ago.
The only two survivors of the disaster, the sad commoner known as the POSTAL Dude and his loyal friend Champ, drive aimlessly through Arizona's scorching deserts in quest of a new place to call home. After a fortuitous gas station rest stop culminates in the theft of their car, trailer home, and the rest of their worldly possessions, all that the Dude seems to have left to his name is his dog and his bathrobe, neither of which smells all that great. Yet on the horizon, the two see a strange, sparkling town that beckons to them. What unanticipated opportunities exist? Fame? Fortune? Maybe a bidet or two? Edensin is equipped.
