Death Stranding 2 is still mostly unknown, however it is known that recording has almost probably begun, as per a recent post from Hideo Kojima. Kojima is regarded as one of the most important Japanese figures in gaming, and his work combines complicated storytelling with an intricate fusion of video game creation and film directing. He's also a bit of a recluse, and industry talk frequently revolves around his next ventures.
Using his Japanese Twitter account, Hideo Kojima has given us the tiniest glimpse behind-the-scenes, indicating that recording for Death Stranding 2 has officially started. Four behind-the-scenes photos have been released by Kojima for fans to peruse, with the first showing a recording studio door. We also see Léa Seydoux in a recording studio, a fancy facial capture headset, and a DS2 staff member working on something.

The Kojima Productions studio is now quite active. Not only is the company now working on the much-awaited sequel, but a film version of the first Death Stranding is also in the works. Another Xbox-only game is rumoured to be a horror game, however, there is currently very little information available on it. In 2022, the master of video games himself launched the "Brain Structure" podcast. It's amazing that he has time for anything else with all of this, but it appears that he wants to inform people that at least one project is now making progress.
Even if the director doesn't explicitly state it, a lot of visuals clearly imply it. One image shows an actor—possibly Lea Seydoux—in a recording booth next to what appears to be a script. It makes sense that this phase of the game's production has begun since another image shows a door with the words "Recording Room" on it
