Online footage of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has surfaced as a result of recent rumours. The upcoming BioWare title Dragon Age: Dreadwolf marks the return of one of the studio's most popular titles. Dragon Age: Inquisition, the last game in the series produced by the studio, debuted in 2014 and immediately became a tremendous smash. After that, the developer tried its hand at a new IP called Anthem, which burned and crashed horribly and temporarily returned to Mass Effect with a rather shaky spin-off. BioWare needs a victory because of its recent losing skid. With Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, it has been taking its own time, and some recently released gameplay suggests that it is shaping up very nicely.

An account named "revanchisto" released the leak on Reddit, claiming that they received 20 minutes of early alpha gameplay from a playtester who has since left the project. To protect the playtester's identity, the Reddit post, however, only included a five-second GIF and a few screenshots from the main video. This little portion of gameplay establishes, first and foremost, that battle will take place in real-time. There isn't much else that can be learned from it; however, the leaker did provide information and further screenshots.

The most definite aspect of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf to date is that BioWare has primarily stuck to discussing the world, story, and lore in extremely general terms while displaying concept art. We don't yet know when the game's developer plans to fully reveal it, but perhaps this summer during E3. It's safe to say that the game won't release this year because we've heard so little about it, but perhaps it will have a short marketing cycle and release during the holiday season.

A female Dwarf Rogue and another Knight are the player's two friends; both of them might serve as stand-ins in the alpha. The player character is an Elvish Knight class utilising a sword and shield. Attacking Weisshaupt are Darkspawn who, for whatever reason, have been infused with Crimson Lyrium, as seen by their attacks and red eyes. In the video, red Lyrium and roots can be seen sprouting up all around the headquarters.

The player's current goal is to reach the Library as a huge dragon is attacking from above. The dragon periodically creates "environmental and traversal problems" by caving in the roof and blocking your route. The game's gameplay concludes as the player enters the library, locks the doors, and confronts the dragon, whom you must presumably chain up.

They assert that compared to anything BioWare has ever produced, animation is a vast advance. The movement is smooth, unlike in prior games by the developer, which were rigid. Though it could alter the finished product, the UI is similar to that of Inquisition. The screenshot displays a typical RPG inventory layout, with slots for the character's whole collection of armour, weapons, and accessories in the middle.

The leaker also thought it important to mention that the player can jump and that the character's hair, although clipping through the helmet, looks "beautiful.
