Some official documents that refer to the upcoming RPG The Elder Scrolls 6 suggest that the UK government may be aware of its release date. Skyrim has been out since 2011, so it's safe to assume that many fans are becoming antsy waiting for the release of the next game in the venerable Bethesda franchise. No one is really sure when it will probably appear, but given how little information the developer has provided, it's probable that fans will have to wait years. 

In addition to PlayStation, Microsoft's main rival, regulatory bodies from the UK and the EU have also expressed interest in the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. These committees are looking into the transaction to see what kind of effects it would have on the video gaming market and Microsoft's rivals. As one might anticipate with investigations of this nature, many documents have been exchanged, disclosing information that would not have otherwise been made public. 

The Elder Scrolls 6 release date appears to be among this information, making it the most eagerly awaited game you can imagine. Therefore, it's possible that the UK government is aware of the game's potential release date. 

A document published on the UK government website describes the Competition and Markets Authority's (CMA) inquiry into the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger, according to a tweet from UESP, which was picked up by PCGamesN. The Elder Scrolls 6 is briefly mentioned in a section on certain "mid-sized" titles that are now managed by Microsoft, along with the caveat that it "is not likely to be launched before [REDACTED]." This strongly suggests that the long-awaited RPG's launch date has already been disclosed but has since been removed. Nobody knows for sure, however, what this date might be. 

The Elder Scrolls 6 will arrive after Fable 4, according to Xbox head Phil Spencer from last year, but even that game will probably take months or years to develop. With that in mind, it's frustrating for some fans that they still don't know when the former will actually be released, especially given that Skyrim is already eleven years old. 

Many people have been looking forward to playing a brand-new Elder Scrolls entry for a while now because the series is known for its extensive narrative and expansive realms to explore. There was a teaser trailer released by Bethesda, but that was back in 2018, and not much has been revealed about the game since. Hopefully, information about TES6 will be available once the developer releases Starfield sometime in the following year.
