Things are looking good for those wanting to receive a PlayStation 5 this Christmas season. Due to the ongoing chip shortage, which makes it more difficult for businesses to match demand with their products, the PS5 has been one of the most difficult pieces of technology to purchase during the previous two years. For quite some time, the PS5 and Xbox Series X have primarily only been offered online, with sporadic, albeit temporary, in-store restocks. However, a lot of these restocks came with the burden of having to purchase a package that included games, accessories, and other items. It added hundreds of dollars to the console's already high price, making it less desirable for those who could find one.

The PS5 appears to have plenty of inventory this holiday season, despite its popularity. This is undoubtedly the best course of action for you because not everyone has the means to get one and it will take some work. The PS5 was in short supply in stores as of November, although it was evident from Black Friday that demand for the console had increased.

The PlayStation 5 was widely available, and God of War Ragnarok was placed on store shelves and behind the register. When we visited two Best Buy stores, we personally can attest that there were literally heaps of PlayStation 5 systems, and online reports indicate that this was the case across the nation. Users might anticipate receiving one the following day because Cyber Monday is essentially the continuation of Black Friday.

It's worth checking in with your neighborhood retailer and finding out about their plans for restocks in December if you can't get one in the coming days. Now that a significant first-party title is available for the console and 2023 will feature games like Marvel's Spider-Man 2, it's likely that Sony and retailers will collaborate to ensure that more of these consoles reach players' hands this holiday season.
