The most recent Fortnite update, which adds a range of new stuff to the game's main battle royale mode, is now officially rolling out. A dynamic new vehicle from Rocket League called the Octane, a new item, a new LTM, and other new additions are all part of the Fortnite v22.40 update.
First update in two weeks for Epic Games' enduringly well-liked battle royale game, which most recently added the Skywalker week with a Star Wars theme. Lightsabers and E-11 Blaster Rifles were temporarily restored to the island during the peculiarly timed week, but gamers were otherwise left without any fresh activities to engage in on the island—until now.
The Octane from Rocket League is the most important addition to Fortnite's v22.40 release. The Octane was first introduced to Fortnite as part of the game's v22.10 Creative Mode update; it is now available in Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. The famous car has all the same skills as the video game from which it was adapted, including rocket boosters, supersonic speed, and the capacity to jump twice, dodge, fly, and drive on walls. The Octane has been "adjusted" for these settings, which may make it slightly less effective than its Creative Mode equivalent.
The eagerly anticipated inclusion of Big Battle Limited Time Mode is another significant component of Fortnite's v22.40 update. Big Battle Mode rumors have been circulating since mid-August, and many of the purported details have proven to be accurate. The new Big Battle LTM is 40v40 rather than 50v50. Veteran players can anticipate a quicker pace than before, the Storm already circling the first zone, a loadout that is pre-loaded with Uncommon items, and only Rare or higher loot. Additionally, the LTM is Zero Build, ensuring fairly quick matches.
An update for mobile and creative comes last. The interact/use button has been completely removed from the fire button on mobile, and other actions now have their own icons. The battle royale island has changed into a "starting island" for developers to build their own experiences thanks to Creative. Additionally, it has been revealed that Fortnite will jump Battle Lab in version 23.000, most likely following the eagerly anticipated Chapter 3 conclusion.
