Since a long time ago, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 has been scheduled to debut in the middle of November, immediately after the success of Modern Warfare 2. However, it appears that Modern Warfare 2's single-player campaign contains an Easter egg that may provide information about the upcoming free-to-play battle royale game in the franchise.
Despite the game's popularity, many people bemoaned the settings' monotony. Before the game featured a new battle royale map, almost two years had passed. Many believed that there should be more maps, even if there was a smaller one and the original map was upgraded. Raven and the other developers of the battle royale game appear to have taken that to heart, as they may already be aware of what the second map will entail.
According to Insider Gaming, the campaign mission "El Sin Nombre" from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II contains what appears to be the second map for Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Players must infiltrate a cartel leader's residence as part of the objective, and before you murder Diego, there appears to be a table behind him with what appears to be a battle royale map on it. Las Almas, a vast Mexican city with buildings, mountains, and rivers that appears in the campaign, is reported to be the game's second map. This city has a lot of potential for various tactical engagements, based on what has been seen of it during the campaign.
Given that we have just seen a small portion of the first Warzone 2 map, it is likely that we won't see the second one for some time. A few weeks from now, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will be released, but Raven and Infinity Ward have not yet announced their support strategy. It appears that the creator is beginning from scratch in order to incorporate all of the lessons discovered from the original game.
