The Out of Position promo went live last day, and the players of FIFA 23 are trying their best to obtain cards by fulfilling the objectives and SBCs, assuring them entrants from the new promo. After its release, gamers have been really curious to get a featured footballer from the promo, and mostly those having higher in-game ratings. 

The current promo is the fourth one, following the release of OTW, RTTK, and Rulebreakers in the past. There’s no chance of upgradation in the Out of Position promo and it is also devoid of a boost at any particular area. But there is a valid reason for its popularity, and it is quite easy to see why gamers are eager for it. 

It is really important to know the craze of the promo among FIFA 23 players, and how it works. Or else, players will get carried by the hype without even knowing the pros and cons, and make poor financial decisions with their FUT coins. 

Every card holds a default position in FIFA 23 and it is quite necessary for players to play them in the same place. If it is not being done essentially, then it means that the chemistry points for the footballer will be locked, and the rest of the players in the team will not be able to take advantage, thus incurring partial losses on their chemistry points. 

Some cards have alternate positions and are limited to a great extent. Every good item does not have a suitable alternative position, and some might not have the one that is wished for by the players. The Out of Position promo puts different positions on the cards that are included in it. 

One such example is Mohamed Salah, who is used as an ST by many players in the game. His base card does not have ST as the base or alternate position, and players lose out on chemistry. Those who missed chemistry points on Salah due to the limitation can now override it without having any huge problems. 

These cards also have desired stats that make them effective in their new positions. Salah’s card has boosted shooting and finishing stats to ensure that it can be a threat considering the goal. In a similar way, Reece James’ RW card has better finishing, whereas Cancelo’s CM variant has better dribbling and passing stats over his base card. 

There are many Out of Position cards that have not lost much on their default stats, either. Salah’s promo card in FIFA 23 is strong at dribbling and pace, whereas Cancelo has good levels of defensive prowess. The majority of the higher-rated cards have this benefit. 

To make matters even better, EA Sports made sure that the special cards would have alternate positions. This provides greater options to players and opens new areas to exploit with a given footballer. As a whole, it is a great promo with good cards, and more additions will be made via SBCs and the mid-week mini-release.
