A new console update from the Xbox team has been released, and players can look forward to a number of new quality-of-life enhancements. With the largest of these, users may now adjust the TV's volume directly from the console. Users may now find a "TV Volume" option mentioned in the Audio & Music area, and this essentially operates through the HDMI wire. The goal behind this small update is to make it quicker and easier for players to change the volume without having to seek the TV remote.

Users of Alpha had the option to turn off the console's launch sound last month. All users now have access to the option as of today's release. It's a really nice new function for folks who enjoy playing video games late at night while other people in the house or flat could be sleeping. Users of Xbox can locate the option under Additional Options, Power & Startup in the General section.

Along with these adjustments, Xbox also upgraded the firmware for a number of controllers, changed the names of a few power modes, and made a few minor tweaks. Users can now edit the duration of their video clips on the Xbox app for iOS and Android, making it simpler to focus on the precise gameplay moment they were going for.

While none of these modifications are very significant, Xbox is often making small adjustments to enhance the overall gaming experience. These kinds of small upgrades and features can pile up over time and improve the experience of using the gear. It's also evident from the blog post explaining these features that Xbox is interested in learning more about the kinds of modifications consumers want to see. Personally, I'm looking for a switch that will prevent the Xbox controller and headphones from turning on the system until the switch is turned on. I'll simply have to wait and see what the November update brings for now.
