After getting a glimpse of the grotesque gameplay for the title, since then players have been anticipating the arrival of Scorn. This is a first-person horror adventure game that is set in a nightmarish universe consisting of weird forms and a somber tapestry. But, since the game’s release, things are not going well at all.  

Scorn collected reviews on Steam and has a rating of 68% from 1,272 users. Many think the game is too short which is definitely a problem as the price is not justified. But this is not the worst part as those who want to play the game are facing some sound-related problems too. 

The developers are stressed regarding the importance of sound in Scorn after seeing numerous threads talking about sound-related issues. The problem is occurring on both PC and Xbox. 

In fact, some users are reporting an annoying sound in the background at the time of running the game. Whereas others do not face any such issue.  

The developers have not taken any steps yet to address this problem but the community has found a workaround.  

As this is just a technical/software issue, it might be said that a workaround can fix it well. Here is a list of suggested fixes for PC and Xbox: 

Scorn PC sound glitch fix: 

• Click on the search icon at the bottom of the taskbar. 

• Type “Sound Settings” and then press enter. 

• Search the device that is currently in use and then click on the option to expand the tab. 

• Now, look for the “Audio Enhancements” option. You will get it below “Output Settings.” 

• Change the setting from “Default Device Effects” to “Off.” 

• Now Restart the PC. 

Though this method has been termed effective by many, still remember that the outcome may vary from system to system. And if the problem still remains, then do not reinstall the game or update the software as these are not going to help you.  

Scorn Xbox sound glitch fix: 

• Try restarting the Xbox/Scorn  

Yes, it seems quite funny but this is the only way that console players have. This has solved the sound glitch problem for many.  

If in case restarting the game/console does not help, users will then have to wait for an official patch. 

When users can expect an official patch for sound-related problems? 

As the game was released on 14th October 2022, thus, the developers need some more time to find the root cause of the problem and issue a fix. A quick fix may be received over the weekend or in the coming week.  

It depends on how complex the issue is and whether or not the developers are aware of the problem to start with. As this isn’t an isolated incident or anomaly, the problem will likely be investigated thoroughly.
